Weather looks to be near 60 this Sunday.

Anyone want to ride, get muddy, eat cheeseburgers?

I have gas money.

I could do that. Suspension fork fixing parts came this week and I've been working on scheduling the overhaul party with Jimmy.

Does anyone have a fork that uses 15wt oil? I bought a liter of that by accident and I'm happy to pass it along for half price (which is cheaper than sending it back). There are downsides to ordering shit online in a hurry. Our forks need about 50ml of it per overhaul, so it'll take a while to go through 1000ml.

Provided that the signage has been maintained; Soaring Eagle is a great XC network more suitable to clipped in novice - intermediate levels of the tribe. Experts, just rail it. I would even say that the lot of you camp/29er/cross bikers could make for a sweet game of hide and seek there.

The maps are at each intersection with reference numbers so as to connect the dots of a meandering forest singletrack grid.

It ought to be lovely with all the deciduous trees this time of year.

It's also a wet scream when all that foliage mulches up around November.

My fork is fixed (an o-ring on the damper had failed allowing oil to puddle under the stanction and since oil doesn't compress I lost most of the fork's travel travel). Jimmy's is overhauled. We're ready for tomorrow and talked Rory into joining us too and trying out his new El Mariachi.

Soaring Eagle sounds good and the current trail status report on Evergreen f'n mtb says:

I'll be at Roxys at the bottom of Jeff's hill drinking coffee and waiting a pickup any time after 9:50am. My car had a mechanical today, and I need to ride up with someone.

Thanks all - see you tomorrow.

Hey PS - someone throw a floor pump in your car. I'm bringing a spare pair of pegged flats in the event we have another pedal problem.

Got ya covered, Scott.

11:41pm frame swap progress report:

BB
Cranks
Headset
Bars with all controls
Dog fang

Luckily cable and hose lengths seem OK. So just need to fit derailleurs, chain, wheels. Adjust shifting. Install brake calipers, adjust them.

See y'all in the morning.

Good times.

Emily (she speaks to owls) and Roscoe (he chases squirrels) were a welcome addition to the group.

Great day. Thanks for the Soaring Eagle recommendation Douglas, it was more rooty less air than Duthie. Way less people. I'd go again. I think we covered most of the trails.

No videos, although when I get a chance I'll post a photo of the owl.

PJ: When your shoulder recovers it would be great to go out there with you, I bet you know the right direction to go down each of the trails to link them up nicely.

Lee: You'd like it on your single speed.

Rumor is that Paradise Valley out past Woodinville is next up for us. I haven't been there in about a decade and look forward to getting back.

Yeah, rockin good time. Roots are a mother out there - and there are enough of them I wonder why they kept the log crossings at all - those runs didn't need more of them but yeah. Everything Jeff and Alex said.

Saturday 10/23 is 5 days off but I'd be up for heading out then. Room for 1 other rider and bike possibly.

Winter retreat on Hawaii. Open door. Miss riding with you jerks.

Snow wise, what's shakin' up in Ranger Creek Station? I didn't get to do that one this year (almost all time fav) with +3k climbing, camping at the top in an old open air log cabin, and some gorgeous views including a cliff that looks down on the emergency airstrip off HWY 410.

In! 10am at Jeff's again?

I would like a ride in someone's vehicle, can sort it out Saturday morning.

Location, map, etc.

Any good food and drink in Maltby, Woodinville, Kenmore, or Bothell?

I was going to suggest that we could meet at my house instead of Jeff's. It is a straight shot up to Lake City Way from here. I'm at the corner of 63rd and 14th NE.

I'll have room for you Jimmy (plus one more).

For those who know him (or met him at Fort Ebey) my friend John from Spokane is going to ride with us too.
