HOT DAMN! It's the 10th Anniversary of Filmed by Bike.
Big ups to .83 for making Filmed by Bike extra special by coming down in droves for the festival.
In honor of your long-standing enthusiasm for Filmed by Bike, I'm telling YOU FIRST that tickets are now available online.
TICKETS:
http://filmedbybike.strangertickets.com
PROGRAM:
http://filmedbybike.org/programs
This year we added two additional days of movies that include Blood, Sweat and Gears, a program of cyclocross movies (Tuesday) and the Best of the Best program of movies pulled from the archives (Wednesday).
Ski Boys? YES, HELL YES.
You know what that means: Take off work, buy a festival pass, and come to Portland for the entire festival. There will be plenty of parties in between the movies, so you know you'll have a good time.
Can't wait to see you all in April.

Yo dawgs, I'm not gonna continually pester y'all to death about about this, but the Caroline/Lee/Deven/Butcher Heather/Archie/Pete Jr/me/others collabo-film is showing Saturday at 5PM. If you want to see what happens when zombies and bikes mix, you should go to that screening too!
And you'll get to hear Prof Dave, Mimi, and I answer questions about our films such as "where did you get all those bikes?" and "what deeper meaning do aesops fables give to cyclists such as us?" and "were you drunk when you thought this up?". The answer to that last one is yes.

I guess folders are easy to sneak in to hotels as well.
Crowne Plaza has a bike rack outside and valet system for bikes to be stored inside a storage room. |

I end up staying in more than my fair share of portland hotel rooms, and even for the super nice places that my work pays for, I just walk my bike in the front door and into the elevator (except at the ace, where I carry it up the stairs) while making ASSERTIVE EYE CONTACT with the front desk person. No one has said anything yet.
For the money and convenience, I have settled into staying at the McMenamins White Eagle, which is in NE portland, but not too far from the convention center/rose quarter. It's only $50-$65 per night.
I'll be thinking of you all very fondly from Amsterdam. |

This is what I did at the Crowne Plaza last year. No one seemed to care. |

Boom, tix purchased for that show too.
Also Crowne Plaza didn't bat an eye at me rolling fullsize bikes into the elevator last year. No complaints about the hot tub/pool party either. |

| I have secured 11:35am train tickets on Friday for the trip down. Last year, I had a pretty awesome trip down with Taliafitz and 80's Jeff. Who will come and be awesome with me THIS year? |

| just picked up one 9:00pm ticket as Ms Sarah is otherwise occupied for the weekend. Anyone want to split a hotel room? I'm also hoping to score a ride down, would go either train or auto. I'm already at peace missing the noon Sounders match that Saturday so could come home anytime that weekend. |

Still need to decide if and how I'm headed down.
