Friday the 13th and I'm already here? Are there any folks on the super early train? I'll try and meet you at the train station

For those that arrive in PDX early, you should meet Gary Fisher!

Holy shit. Someone should find out what he wants for the Vanilla restored Paramount. And see what the Legnano frame looks like.

I bought one against the hope that I'd go, but I'm still in Boulder. It's yours if you want. It's under my name at will call, but do I need to try to have it transferred?

Rob, you'll need to call and have the tickets transferred to Justin's name. Derrick did that with his tickets for me, seemed pretty easy.

I got it sorted out - thanks anyway, Rob.

It's still not too late for you to come, you know!

Next year for sure.

But I already transferred it to your name, so you've got an extra ticket now, and you can deal with as you see fit.

Yes, but not me, sorry. Some guy next to me found one on the ground as we were all rolling out for MMR. Didn't recognize him. Maybe try Portland Craigslist?

tomorrow will be a nice day. Anyone up for a leisurely ride before heading back to the SEA? I'm mostly done enough with homework to take a little time off.

Found: a black Giro helmet appeared in my room at the Eastside Lodge. Heather and Tara make no claim to it.

Lost: all respect for Union Jack's, even if it's across the street. Next time how about Hawthorn Strip? It doesn't show up on Google Maps, but a special someone in the club now has the power to fix that.

I'm taking the train with my bicycle to Portland this weekend. Does anyone have any tips for success?

1) get a bike map. they have free ones which are actually good.
2) find good places to eat.
3) ride your bike there and eat.
4) it is difficult to find a bar with a shitty beer selection. Correction: It is easy to find a ber with a shitty beer selection, but just as easy to find a bar with a really good beer selection, so if you find yourself ina bar with shitty beer, leave, and go to the next bar down the street*
5) the weather should be great this weekend. spend all day outside. ride up council crest and look at 4 volcanoes. ride leif ericksen or salzman through forest park. Hit up belmont station at ne 45th and stark, and then ride up mt tabor, and stop on the way down by the reservoir for a park beer.
5) go to apex, or hop and vine, or any of the other 46 places with a patio and delicious beer.

*unless you're downtown near pioneer place. In that case, you should ride east until you cross the river, and then find another bar.
