No one at my workplace has bugged me to join a team, so anyone want to go in with me for a .83 team? You could win, uh, not much. There's free beer at the captain's meeting, I remember that much.

Edit: 4 people make up a team, and every team gets 2 invites to the captain's party, 5-8pm May 9, at the Pike Brewery. So obviously, that's free beer for 50% of us. Get on this, folks.

Greg, I asked my coworker DJ (the other guy who rode last year) to join us. Looks like you'll have at least 4.

Joe, you really want to pit a team of lazy office workers against a team with a high percentage of elite .83 cyclists? That's cray cray.

They don't, it is honor system. The winners on miles usually do things like leave work and ride to Portland for vacation and count it as part of their commute. The whole thing is silly, but you get free beer.

I'm already registered as a solo rider, so why the hell not?! I'll join the .83 team.

Greg, do you have to invite us? If so, my rider name is Sweendo

I don't have an every-day job at this point, can I still count my mileage on your squad? I'm good for ~40 a week.

If we're whipping out the bike commute wangs, I do 87 miles weekly. And that's none of that "taking the long route" crap.

She does reside in Arizona, so your 5000 mile estimate is not that far off the mark.

Oh look, I woke up.

Apparently I need actual e-mail addresses to invite you. So PM me your e-mail, or hell, just post it here for the spambot scrapebots. Damn if I care.

If there's 7 or more of you, I propose we split up into multiple teams, to get even more multiples of free beer. Because that is really what this is all about, right?

I'm geeky, but not geeky enough to update my rides immediately after doing them.

The website lets you track miles in April to get in the habit I guess, but those miles aren't supposed to count toward anything.

Actually I can only do "half trips" because I work in Auburn, live in Seattle and work has no showers. So I have to take the Sounder in the morning and save all my riding for the trip home.

Edit: That solo rider is my coworker whom I gave you the wrong email for, correct email sent.
