Does anyone know the Ray who rides the black Specialized road bike and carries a black messenger bag? Chris and him where in a bad head on bike wreck last night near the boat launch at the park. Chris came home with us, he’s bloodied and battered and needs to get to a doctor, but otherwise he’s ok. Ray though… it wasn’t pretty. The paramedics took him away on a board.

I’ve never seen a more violent bike wreck between two bikes, and I hope to never see it again. Closing speed must have been 25mph, and they hit dead on tire to tire. Both front wheels blew out on impact. They flew head first into each other through a cloud of talcum dust (from the exploding front tires) and crumpled strait to the ground. Both guys got help immediately from us but Ray definitely came out the worse. He was loosing a lot of blood out of his head and wasn’t making pretty sounds. Neither guy was wearing a helmet. As far as I can tell there isn’t any blame to place, I mean what kind of shit luck does it take for an accident like this to happen?

I gave the paramedics my number to give to Ray, we want to hear how he’s doing. Also, I have his bike in the back of my car. If anyone knows him or knows of his condition, let me know ASAP. Sixtysix-zero thirtytwo-thirtytwo

Thanks.
Ben

after calling hospitals, no dice,.. then got a call from a friend who just called Ray's dad..

he had a few teeth knocked out, but it seems like he's more-so in general doing OK.

he's going to be in Port Orchard at his dad's house for about a week. I'm going to call him tomorrow and probably stop by.

I'll keep you guys posted and i'll let him know his bike is in your car and whatnot.

if you want, call me at 360-731-745seven and you can just drop his bike off here sometime.

Has anyone else noticed that whenever there's a crash, Jordan materialises and offers to help out?

oh yeah.

just got off the phone with him again.

he had two bottom and one front teeth knocked out. his eye is very swollen and is only like 1/2 open, face is pretty scratched up, and his shoulder is in a shit-load of pain. so he's taking his sick-leave and just staying around. he says he doesn't remember a damned thing, either.
