No shit. I just got done hitting pavement with my FACE.
Like Ray, I have amnesia and don't remember a damn thing, other than wondering why the hell I was waking up in an ambulance. I'm actually pretty much okay though, just surface scrapes galore as you can see.
I spend almost more time crashing than riding these days. VERY SAD. |

Concussion watch lasted 24 hours, so Friday afternoon (when I was discharged from Harborview) through Saturday afternoon. Whatever he was supposed to watch for didn't happen, so that's nice. They gave out a sheet with all the symptoms, but I was too drugged up/delirious to care.
It is indeed just scrapes and scabs. Some of the scrapes are healing, some of the scabs are turning into nasty scab-blisters, and I have a lovely yellow shiner, but overall I'm definitely on the mend. The worst would be the scabs on my shoulder and neck, which are constantly cracking as I move. Seriously though, that's the "worst", so I have no complaints.
My masochism knows no bounds!!! I mean... er.... |

Dr Chris recommends training wheels, and not the Kascade kind.
seriously though, I'm glad you're okay. Crashing happens, more often in direct proportion to the level of intoxicants in your body. |

Yeah doesn't it suck.lucky i just had my back wheel "cold" tensioned and am borrowing jordans front wheel so that I can ride again.
Luckily you didn't loose any teeth did you? I lost five.all in the front. and the Irony.... I'm trained as a Dental Assistant(not working as one thankfully).
How long were you at/in the hospital? |
