Hood Canal Loop idea is sounding more and more appealing. It is far too easy to apply a yes-but-conditional-maybe to this plan.

going up early on friday would be a little silly, with the leisurely low-mileage departure saturday and the proximity of the campsite to the highway

So that's a "no" on making a flaming piñata, what with the highway proximity.

Sorry I don't respond on your schedule, Scott. I was working at a job that requires my attention.

In the future, keep your callouts to yourself.

I was a a yes, then a no, now I'm upgrading to a maybe. I see my name is on the list. So, if I end up NOT making it out, Eric, you can have my share of pulled pork. If I *do* make it out, you may not have my pork share.

And actually, it's slowly starting to look like I *will*, in fact make it out, albeit a tad later in the afternoon.

I think Heather has my loaner panniers and rack, maybe you could borrow them. Or maybe Derrick has them now, I can't keep track. I should probably get them back one day.

We'll ride into camp guns blazing. Then stop, reload, and continue riding into camp. Repeat every minute or so.

PPS - we're in for a treat if the clouds break saturday night...

'Supermoon' Alert: Biggest Full Moon of 2012 Occurs Saturday

"The moon will officially become full Saturday (May 5) at 11:35 p.m. EDT. And because this month's full moon coincides with the moon's perigee — its closest approach to Earth — it will also be the year's biggest."
http://www.space.com/15474-supermoon-full-moon-2012.html

.83 camping trips have been historically fortunate with awesome moon sightings.

Who is interested in camping Sunday night as well? We could finish the hood canal loop in 2 days instead, taking the Bremerton ferry back on Monday. Camping location TBD but there are some state parks as options.

So, I'd like to mount a rack before this adventure, but need hardware for clamping around the seat stays (got eyelets, but nothing on the seat stays). Anyone got something I can bum?

Just ribbing you Mike. I meant no harm. Post address and will send sandwich. Glad to hear you're attending.

If anyone knows what it is to miss rides because of work, it's me.

I don't have any, but these (P-clamps)

are what you're looking for. If no one on the forums comes through, check a bike store or hardware store.
