I approve of this thread being resurrected. It's a slow work day.
I especially encourage new people who's user name and pic give no indication to who they are in real life. Its hard for me to keep track who is who, .83 is complicated.

To continue the rise of the thread!
I am Jared.
When I am exerting 110% smiling and concentration effort into a webcam I look like this.
But usually I can be seen ooot and aboot (southeast Minnesota native) riding this. A Surly Disctrucker and my only ride. He's a rescue.
I just moved to Seattle from Chicago a few weeks ago for a new job and to get out of the Midwest for a bit. Those winters, man, they finally broke me after 24 years.
Other than cycling I like all Minnesota pro sports and the Wisconsin Badgers (the real UW) for college. Also beer is good. If someone can find me a Grain Belt Premium out here I will be your eternal friend.

Hi, I'm rza (Clarissa). I live on an exotic island and ride a Magic School Bike.
I also got a haircut this summer. Here is me with my new haircut and the only white shirt I own.
This is my other ride:
This year's Jello Glow Stick Slip n Slide Shitshow was my 2ish year anniversary riding with pointy three, and I <3 y'all.

My name is Julia. My first ride was 8/14/2014. I've been told about this group for many years and only began seriously biking earlier this year. (I have been a bit gun-shy about biking in the past... absolutely no more.)
This is me licking Benedict the day I brought him home. He's mine. You can't have him.
A bit about me:
I am going to school for massage (Yes, I will need practice bodies, yes, some of you may get 'lucky') and am trying to make ends meet with Uber/Lyft right now. It's kind of a joke at the moment but eventually the dust should settle...
I am terrible about drinking. Just this year I have apparently decided to do all the crazy crap while drunk. You guys are getting to witness the best of the best. You can always spray water in my face and tell me I am a bad kitty if I am acting up in a disagreeable way.
Oh, I'm terrible at names, but it seems I fit in well here with that.
For shits and giggles here is me with hair and make up which you will probably never see:

SE MN? La Crescent?
Then you have been through Hokah, no doubt, and Houston MN. The family farm straddles Highway 16 halfway between those two "towns". Despite growing up in rural Georgia, I consider the farm in Minnesota my home.
I meet a lot of people from MN out here in Seattle, and many of those have heard of Hokah, which sorta surprises me.

I do not know about other Minnesotans...but I do know that living in MpLs/St. Paul the best thing to do for me as a teen was just drive... Randomly, wherever. So knowing at least some of the small towns isn't that weird in that context.
It is interesting that I now know of Four people from Mn in this group...and I've been going for five weeks.
Hi gaiz. Hi.

Hello, I'm Bock (which is actually my name, just not my first name) My first ride was a midnight Green Lake race around 5 years ago. I don't remember the exact date, but i did pick up a whiskey raptor spoke card. I've been riding more often the past year.
I went to school for Psychology and am currently doing system admin and web design. I'm planning on seeing GWAR for my 16th time this year. I'm also a Minnesotan. From St. Cloud. I love my sauerkraut pizza and I really want more snow this year. You have probably heard me on the rides before.
when I'm not riding my fatty, i usually ride this
I'm not much of a camper, but i'm working on it and i just bought my first tent. Hoping to do one of the bike camping trips sometime in the next year.

Cray Cray. My folks own a farm up on union ridge just above 16 near the golf course.
I personally know all of the people that painted the hokah forever sign.

My family farm is in the valley, just across the road from the gold course, west and north. It is the Sheldon farm if that means anything.

I've been on the two most recent rides. I'm gonna keep coming back so I suppose I should introduce myself on the internet as well.
Grew up in south Everett. Lived in Bham from '06 to '11 doing school then rambled around the country for the last three years - eastern Tennessee, northern Virginia, Seattle, southern New Jersey, Montana, Denver. I'm stoked to be back in Seattle and staying in one place for more than six months. I love bikes, friendly people, drinking beer and dancing. Needless to say, point83 is making me feel super warm and fuzzy about my decision to move to Seattle.
Pictures and words about my bike touring adventures live on CGOAB. If you wanna creep on me (like I've been creeping on this forum for the last two weeks), go here and scroll down to find my touring journals:
To clear up any confusion, my nickname has been "Sox" for the last eight years, but I've been transitioning back to "Lauren" in the last year or so. I still love being called Sox but at the ripe old age of 26 I'm starting to feel like a fucking weirdo introducing myself as an article of clothing. Call me Sox. Call me Lauren. I don't really care.
