Hey all...I know a ton of you have rode the west coast. HWY 101/Seattle to San FRan... ANd I was looking for feedback/resources.

I am in process of planning out my excursion and was looking to get any resources that can help me plan. Blogs, special places to stop, advice, etc..

just buy their maps and 99% of the planning is complete. Only available on paper, and it's a pleasure to use their maps. Heavy, waxed waterproof paper does really well in the handlebar bag or pocket without dieing. Notations are cycling specific; elevation, ideal traffic routing, bike shops, shelters, campgrounds, food/phone/mail, etc are all notated with contact info supplied.

don't forget to checkout warmshowers.org (SFW) for some nice overnight options

The Oregon DOT has a great map for bike tourers on their stretch of 101.

I have these maps, you're welcome to borrow them. Seattle to SF is 3 maps. I intend to do this route some day though so I don't want to sell them. They hold up pretty well so as long as you don't use them for kindling or origami they'll still be usable.

ACA is currently doing free trial memberships, and membership gives you a discount on the maps.
