That's by far the best price I've seen for it.

Dear joe, is it plausible to sell auto part "cores" besides the remanufactured parts purchase + core return process? If so, how would i go about this? I replaced a bunch of brake stuff with actual new components.
Now I have a set of calipers, master cylinder, and reservoir that I dont need. The core price is about $100, and itd be assume to recoup that to offset costs.

You know, craigslist is your friend. Clean 'em up a bit with some brake cleaner and a couple rags, make sure the seals look OK, post 'em up and let folks know what make/model vehicle they came from.
Also, there are other websites where you can put 'em up for sale as well :http://www.justparts.com/Sell-Your-Auto-Parts
But aside from that, I am not aware of any local mechanic's shop that buys spare parts just out of the blue - much like with chop shops, the risk of it being stolen (even if yours isn't) is too high and not worth the risk.

Dear Joe,
Less of an inquiry and more of a public service announcement, but could you help spread the word about this? Thanks.
If you play "The Boys Are Back in Town" at exactly 11:59:12 on New Year's Eve, the first "the boys are back in town" will play at exactly midnight. Start off your new year right. Jeremy Gordon (@jeremypgordon) December 18, 2017

The FBI classified them thusly, "...a loosely-organized hybrid gang" that engages in "sporadic, disorganized, individualistic" crime such as, "simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft and vandalism."
Sounds like .83 qualifies.
Joe, will you work harder to promote .83 to the FBI gang list?

I'll do what I can! I think we need to require all members at all times wear .83 merch to begin with. We should set up a more formal prospects type system. Probably require some sort of initiation. I'll get to work on creating the club bylaws.

Dear Joe,
I know that property is theft but as a lessor in 2018 I need to put some tenants on a lease for the summer. What online services would you recommend for this? Free is always best but I'm willing to shill out some bones if it means better quality and/or increased protection from unforseen liability...
Regrettably yours,
Cop Aaron

Dear joe. You are not the joe my current long distance affair had a love interest in that's joe Jonas but every time she talked about how I can't help but feel jellies. Would you ask kindly change your name to some other man crush name. May I suggest Jordan is distinguished like a bask player of the 90's of similar name. Or maybe Micheal like Micheal Jackson. Te-he and ask the ooh wells - Jordan.

Dear Officer,
If you wish to become a landlord, the RHA is your friend. They have downloadable templates for lease agreements, and can go into detail as to what the responsibilities of you as a landlord have when renting a property.
Also, background checks are highly recommended when screening tenants, and fortunately there are online services that can provide this for you with no cost to you - the applicant is required to pay the costs of the screening. I have used http://www.myscreeningreport.com/ in the past which was pretty good.
Also, when in doubt, bug Brotorff - he's an actual landlord, so he might know a lot more about the caveats. But I think he'll agree, that you should spend the bulk of your time finding a good renter, and then you won't have so many problems during the lease.

Dear Reigh,
While I have often considered changing my name to "Awesome McBadass", or the ever more popular "HugeCock E. Rection", I just can't seem to find a more suitable name that wouldn't equally invoke lustful thoughts from passers by. Also, having been names Joe before Joe Jonas, I claim the right of "Prima Joea", wherepuon I, being first of my name, have primacy in naming rights and requirements therin.

Dear Joe,
How often should one check/adjust the tension on their quality, English leather saddle to avoid breaking the saddle's rails? Asking for my ass...
P.S. - I know that the "other" Aaron does saddle repair. So, Dear Joe, I don't need a recommendation for that...

Sadly, us esteemed gentlemen of a more "stout" stature will inevitably encounter this. I myself have broken a saddle in much the same way. It's not the tension of the leather that causes the fatigue, but the work hardening of the metal due to continued and repeated flexing.
Over time, ALL saddle rails will fail. It's just that for us of more established girth, that cycle time is significantly shorter.

Berthoud modernized the leather saddle to solve the issue you have encountered. It's unfortunate that Brooks wasn't inspired to follow their lead with a rebuildable saddle, maybe some day.
The Berthoud saddles also use a thicker slab of hide that don't blow out as fast as a thin Brooks saddle. Perfect saddle for a Point 83 person of substance.
People that don't ride much seem to think the Berthouds take too long to break in but if you're often dealing with stretching & hammocking on the Brooks it might be considered a long term investment.

Dude, you know I'm just trying to come-up with excuses NOT to ride my bike in this coming weekend's rain.
I will say, the temporary replacement Denby lent me is much appreciated (by everything except my butt).

Hook me up with that black perfo brah, or at least, send me some pics. I rode the snot out of one of those until the leather peeled off and it was the best non-Brooks I ever sat on.

Dear Joe,
I went and "explored" the ruins of the Magnolia landslide this afternoon while the tide was out. Do you know more about the history of the area and the proposal for an alternate route around the south end of the bluff for keeping Magnolia connected w/o the bridge?

Short answer, from what I've read, Seattle says they can't afford to replace the bridge. SO, the options are to keep the existing bridge structure and redo the approaches, or alternatively create a new, smaller bridge further down interbay, or completely remove it and just expand Dravus.
As for the history of the Magnolia Bluffs, the last landslide was about 25 ish years ago I believe. You can still see the remains of it on the bluff via satellite view.

Vetco in Bellevue has multiple wiring options, also probably Alphatronics in Tukwila. I'd say start with them. If you're willing to compromise a bit, I do have 10 conductor 22ga bundled cable that I used for my projects, I could cut you a length. cable diameter is about 3/8".

Dear Joe
I have a number of naked 2.5" spinning disk hard drives sitting in a stack, sizes range from 320 gb to 750 gb.
I don't want to build a HTPC, but am more interested in a cheap NAS enclosure.
What should I do with them?

Scott's got a point. Hard drives make great targets, and are easy to clean up on the range.
For a decent NAS size, you need between 2-4 HDs of the same size to create a RAID. If you don't have that, most of these 2.5" drives are just too small to be really useful.
Sure, there's software NAS solutions like FreeNAS or something like that, but if you don't already have a PC with some room to install the drives in and connections on the motherboard, it's not worth the effort. storage is crazy cheap - you can get a 4TB HD for $80. there's really no NAS out there that can beat that price.
