-details added-

Come one, come all, to the Tour de Denny! Race starts at Red Square on the UW Campus at 3:00 (show up early to register ~2:30). $5 to cover liquid prizes.

It will be about 15 miles, light on the navigation skills required but hitting a couple good hills. There will be fast people and slow people, so don't skip this race just because you don't feel competitive.

The finish line is at my house near Greenlake, and there will be beer! Non-riding friends will show up too, throughout the evening.

The forecast is for a little rain, so come prepared!

Help me get the last year of my 20s off to an awesome start!

-Denny

WOOHOO!! Aquarians rule!! My dad, Henry Rollins, and Oprah are in our good company. A race on your bday sounds like a blast, but we'll have to find ways for you to suffer more than the rest of us.

my friend is celebrating his 40th I think that weekend with a party/punk show at the lobo or the funhouse or something like that. I'll talk to him and if you're into the idea of having a huge birthday night someplace like that I'll get the details. Just a thought......

I've stopped counting, but we can drink extra hardily for me on Thursday, January 26. Maybe we can one-up the ride to Seatac by going to Federal Way.

dang. We sure have a bunch of January birthdays!

My 26th is the 23rd, but I am planning on celebrating by having a gathering at the CIP board-room on the 21st, around 9pm. Y'all are especially invited

Oh, there will be suffering!

What the heck are we going to do in Federal Way? Enchanted village / wild waves is closed, yo. But, it being your birthday, we'll happily follow you wherever you go!

Woohoo! Maybe the ride on the 26th will have to be the Langston/Jill/Denise combo party ride. Or something.

I had to search to find the thread, sort on details rich on hijack

Yeah, I've gotta get movin' on the planning & publicity.

It's not going to be a big ol' alleycat, just a little point83 race / party with my friends.

I have a route, checkpoints & staffers, and some other details worked out. I just need to plan the rest of it and then I'll make an official post, probably over the weekend.

Race starts at 3PM in Red Square on Saturday, Feb. 4th. Show up early, around 2:30.

~15 mile course, with manned/unmanned checkpoints, easy on the routefinding since I'm planning and racing.

Finish is at my place, there will be beer and liquid prizes. Entry fee TBD ($5 or less). We'll probably fire up the BBQ if it's not pouring rain.

Be there!

I'll put together a flier as soon as I can...

I get off work at 4 on Saturday, but I'll try to head up to wherever the end of the race/post race festivities are. I miss so many races, it's really a shame. I'm also missing the Fuckin Hills race.

Here's a suggestion for a spoke card Denny. You should totally do it!

I have to work at this stupid bike shop in WS until 6 PM. Maybe I could come over for the party? How late will it go?

What is your address again? I was intoxicated last time I was there. Hell, everytime I have been there! That or drunk. Or high on alcohol, one of the two.

Just tell your boss you don't feel well and you have to go home early. If that doesn't work, tell your boss to go to hell, quit right then and there, and go to the race!

"Fuck you me."
"That's it, I'm fired."
"I'm out of here."

...Later, at Denny's place

"Hey me, what are you doing here? I thought you weren't feeling well."

you could ride on the train with me and my pinkie bike from pdx to seattle. i arrive to seattle friday night late. with my amtrack experience, that means saturday morning early.

i'll likely be delirious and smelly from 20 hours on the train. haha.
