It's Lee's design, and I think I'm pirating it.
I should be on the DB ride, but heading home around midnight. And yes you can stay at my place. Call me for more info!

It's gonna be fantastic... They're talking about winds of 60 MPH, and gusts up to 80! May the wind be at our backs...

How's the rain looking?
Denny, would I be better off on my polo bike (COUGHgearinchAHEM!) or the fixie? Tall bike?
Er, scratch that tall bike idea.. not in 60mph gusty wind!

You should ride one, and strap the other to your backpack, then trade a few times.
Don't forget a lock and a map, people!

So.... in the midst of my "OMG IM SINGLE"/ DB bender... I managed to severly bruise my tailbone.
I don't even wanna know about the welts on my ass so don't tell me if you know.
Anyway... If you need anyone to help at check points etc let me know.
206=850=8738
But I certainly will not be racing.

I've got the checkpoints covered, but thanks Seth. My address is 706 N 77th St, on the west side of Aurora near Greenlake / Duck Island / Aurora Cycle. Call me at 206-790-2454 if you need to. Everybody's welcome to show up for the after-party (hell, show up at Red Square and ride the short way to the party, 4 miles along the flat part of Ravenna). It will start around 4 when the first finishers show up.

I'm skipping.
I'm half a tandem team this weekend, and the 7-year-old half is strangely resistant to riding in 60MPH wind.
Have a great race!

Hey all,
I had a really great time today. I wanted to thank everyone who was nice enough to hang out long enough for me to ride by. I also wanted to thank Denny and Jess for having so many stinking bikers over to their home and putting out such a great supply of booze and food for us. You all rock.

Thanks for coming out, everyone! I had 13 racers, and a total of 31 people stopped by the party!
Justin stomped everybody, Zack got 2nd, Jill took the huge Ladies Fixed Gear field, and much alcohol was consumed at an early hour!
Pics are here.
Those are from my camera, Caroline's photos will be as soon as I get my hands on them.
Turns out the route was 20.X miles, not 15. Whoops! hehe. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did! I can't believe how well the weather turned out. Dramatic winds, no rain, and a beautiful blue sky with clouds and golden sunlight for the ride home.
And Dean, when I checked my computer this morning, we had reached 85k.
Thanks to Josh and Kori for coming all this way from Portland and San Francisco, just for my birthday race! That's f'in rad.
Happy birthday to me!

Spoke card? Yeah I have a few extras, I'll keep them in my bag, remind me the next time you see me.
Rode out to Kenmore and up Juanita to watch the superbowl today (car is still busted). My legs hurt now :) Maybe I shouldn't have taken that 12% hill, 83rd or something, into wedgewood.
Thanks for putting it on, Denny. I had a lot of fun. It thoroughly kicked my ass. I wish I would have brought my bianchi so I could have enjoyed the hills more. It was a lot of fun.
Also thank you to Denny and Jessica for inviting us all into your home and letting us get totally eff'd up and then letting me sleep on your floor. I appriciate it!
oh man... am i hurting...
thanks for the goodtimes, everyone.

Denny that was the most awesomest time EVER! Your route kicked my ass, as that lovely tongue picture of mine in the tunnel shows. I knew you'd throw in some hills, but jeez I felt like I was riding in cement sometimes.
btw I left my spoke card at your house!! Save me one please and I'll get it on Thursday.
WOOHOO Denny and Jessica and friends rock!!!

Sure thing Jill. I'm glad you had fun, I really enjoyed it :)
We all needed a little strength training for the Fuckin' Hills Race, right!?
Let's do it again next weekend! hehe.
Actually, my car is still busted and I should go up to Queen Anne and pick up the rest of those rodends. Hmm... but my legs hurt a lot. Damn.

If it weren't for you Denny I'd have died before seeing the top of Queen Anne. I was actually thinking that I'd add that ride to my commute home. Pirate race here we come! :)

I saw Dean, Langston and Paul (maybe someone else) on 15th when I was picking up shitty B movies for my girlfriends movie night. I hope to be out again soon and join some of the fun. Business flows in strange ways....
Looks like a great job Denny. Happy BD.
