Here is a summary cue sheet and map I made for you. Print it double sided on a color printer on 8.5"x11" paper (or not).
The cue sheet has been enhanced. It covers the whole ride and makes note of the services where you should consider conducting commerce.
The map on the back only covers the last 1/4 of the ride but this is the area least likely to have cell coverage and the road signs may be lacking or non-existent. It follows like Arabic (right to left then down) but you already figured that out by looking at the mile markers right?

Talk to me about parking near the Holman Road QFC, I'll miss the start for sure if I try to ride the 15miles there in the morning.

Will there already be a shelter at camp, or should someone bring a jumbo tarp+cord?

oh snap! good job douglas. thanks for hooking that up.
on saturday, tell me who to pay, and i will throw my share of money at you. bring some cash people. 3 kegs! that's worth a 5 dollar bill, a ten, or a 20. we don't have to haul any beer weight all the way out there.

The hunters bend is really nice. Works well for joining two lines, comes apart easily, is very strong (I forget exactly but I read some tests where it was among the best joining knots in terms of how little it weakened the overall strength of the system).
It has a pleasing shape where the tag ends come out at 90° to the main lines.
In some ways it is better than other joining knots if you plan on pulling a rope over branches, etc. it seems to get hung up less.
Thebutterfly loop is also awesome because
1. the loop is strong and will stay put
2. you can put full weight on the main lines and not collapse the loop or weaken the system.
3. If you put some serious weight on the main lines, this knot is much easier to untie than other methods of adding a loop, IMO.
4.If your rope is really worn in one spot you can use this knot to isolate that section.

Got a couple kegs sitting in the truck cab, I'll make a beeline out of town. Ben, you mentioned there was some obscured parking near the campsite? I will try to take my sweet ass time to get out there, but if I get there early, what's the game plan? I have a hunch that dirt forest roads on a rainy day may not get too much traffic.
Also, I will be bringing a tarp. The preferred knot I like to use is that 15 half hitch knot where I do a bunch of granny knots with the hope that not all will become undone by the time we need to take it down.

just park by the gate, unload what you need to, and then move your truck far enough up the road so we don't get any unwanted attention.
Fucking rad, Douglas.

my full size dynamite stores were depleted last year. i do have a few signal flares though.
I am filled with much excitement. Out of curiosity, as this is my first time, I assume that saying "We can't stop here! This is Ben Country!" at every single rest/food/poop break has already been designated off limits and will most likely result in me being 86'd from our illustrious bike club?

I do remember Ben saying: "If you guys keep smoking weed and drinking whiskey at every stop, you are going to have problems"

Really? While I wasn't there I'm pretty sure Ben said "If you guys DON'T keep smoking weed and drinking whiskey at every stop, you are going to have problems"
