i have a bunch of baseball photo pictures and school pictures of me at my dad's place. Though, i just look the same, a bit more cleaned up.

I was appalled when I was checking out the cycling club from my undergrad and they listed this pic of me and my friends as "Vintage". They wish they had hair like Robert Smith.

Note the then-state-of-the-art Bell V1 pro, wool jersey with matching hat and the well-worn Vans that matched... absolutely nothing. These weren't my cycling shoes. Around this time I was wearing either Sidis or Detto Pietros with horribly adjusted cleats.

At the time I was riding a 12-speed Raleigh with Sun tour aero brakes, aero clinchers, aluminum clips with Alfredo Binda straps, a white selle italia turbo saddle with some ungodly color of benotto tape. Probably white or red.

Also for the record, I did ok with the ladies. Being a cyclist in Oregon City in 1984 with shaved legs was novel enough to get me noticed. A good half of the school thought Aaron, Larry and I were gay.
