FAQ:

A: Yes, there will be a vehicle available to transport wrapped gifts from the start to the finish for you.

A: Riding remains the best way to stay with the group and stay on route and arrive at the same places everyone else is arriving.

A: Cheap battery christmas lights at Amazon or Display and costume or many other places.

Where will we find the feats of strength and the clappies? Not positive that I can make the starting pile.

then follow the twitters! that's how you find out the end spot. mainly because it's still being worked out, secondarily, so you come and join the festivities and don't just pile into the after party without spending some quality time with your bike family first :)

copies of The Stranger or Seattle Weekly are free and make great wrapping paper.

And remember, you don't HAVE to bring anything. But if you don't bring anything, you don't get to take part of the gift exchange.

And remember remember: booze is always cycling / camping related.

And remember remember remember: drinking outside booze is always a no-bueno/kickout/ban offense at a bar, even if you got it as a gift.

The disaster is always the right decision.

A is for attendance.
A is for alcohol.
A is for audio.

Forecast is looking pretty darn wet for Sat, except for that magical period between 4-10pm, during which next to no rain is forecasted to fall:

My white elephant gift exchange gift is ready, my bike is already filthy, I say

whoa, clarification needed. i thought this was a straight up gift exchange (camping/bike related gifts), not a white elephant. ??

It follows a white elephant picking out format, but most gifts have some sort of useful (or that people will get a kick out of) thing in it. Something in your basement/closet that you aren't using that you think someone else will. No need to buy something new.

Define "straight up." This is a family affair, so you know that there's going to be drinking and yelling and fighting.

So yeah, like Monica said. If you already have something, then great. Booze works, too. In the past, they've also permitted two or three steals per gift, which I think is in the white elephant vein. But that's up to the organizers.

I'm serious if you want me to be serious. Can that be my gift?

But are you good enough for one of my 15 varieties of duct tape? I don't know. You might have to work harder to earn that.

I feel that booze related then by proxy means cycling and camping related... if I can't pull it off in time, more awesome for me. Boom.

It's for your protection as much as ours ;)

I find the cover page of The Stranger makes the best Seattle-esque wrapping paper during the holiday season. Or the page with all the pot delivery and escort ads... that's like a bonus gift in and of itself :P

What if I just use the Stranger front page to wrap the pot delivery and escort service pages as my gift?

First post updated with artwork by the angriest hippy.

Looking for up to 5 volunteers for check points. Post here in this thread. I'll inform you of your location on race day. You will be encouraged to take liberties with the racers. Be prepared to head out from the Skylark by 5:15.

Also if you have any clappy nominations please Private Message them to me.

After party location will be at the Chelan/ebb and tide room at roughly 8:30pm. Intercepting the group between 5:30-8:30 will be more difficult since since some locations are confidential.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Please remember that this is your organic disaster. Contributions towards communal pitchers/drinks/food/tips are greatly appreciated.

But if that's all full-up or there are others who can't race but can volunteer, I won't mind DFLol'ing...
