I've been sick all week and Katie only just got cleared to ride a bike again after the collarboner, so we'll run a checkpoint together. Pretty sure trolling racers while drinking whiskey in a park for 3 hours is just what the doctor ordered.

Looking for up to 5 volunteers for check points. Post here in this thread. I'll inform you of your location on race day. You will be encouraged to take liberties with the racers. Be prepared to head out from the Skylark by 5:15.
Happy to help. Will have flask, blinkenlichten, and A Game at the skylark tomorrow afternoon.

I will have a vehicle at the skylark to hold gifts during the race. Hand off to me there. Will be there at about 5
Make sure if you put a gift in the exchange that I get your name on my list, otherwise you may get missed

This is tictoc's wife. Anyone who saw or knows what happened to him tonight regarding him being hit by a car downtown, please post details or send me a text 206-498-0608. He has no memory of the evening or incident right now. He should be ok, likely a concussion at the least, his helmet is cracked, big bump on his head. Anyway, thanks.

Anyone have my keys? Couple of fobs and keys on a ring with a purple cloth tab and retention hook.

Tictoc, I am glad things aren't worse. Jeez. Let us know if you need anything.

Just so I'm clear, so far you've been
Drunkenly rolled (a point83 first!)
Suffered a catastrophic bike jousting injury
Hit by a car
You need a less dangerous hobby my friend. Glad to hear you're among the living.

Glad to hear there is life even if there was a shitty accident, speedy recovery juju's from my direction.
Also, did anyone make it out of there with a red plaid hoodie? Apparently I removed it from my bag at some point and don't remember.
Thanks for the disastrous time! On a scale of shitty things happening... all the good stuff was balanced out by y'all.
Keep rocking, oh yeah... and don't forget naked is always best.

That'd be Joby... along with nitrous, nicotine, caffeine, alcohol and weed.
In hindsight, I should've stolen that for today. Didn't accomplish anything anyway.
What a Chrisdaster,
ran the first checkpoint - thanks Tom
for sharing that joint

Tic Toc, glad you are still ticking.
Thank you all for the great turnout and the strong A game that you all brought. Thanks to Joby and the other pizza fairies that bought sustenance to the Chelan.
Thanks to the check pointers and all of the poets who added to the firetimes LOLs.
The super-soaker mist died out pretty much as out shenanigans were beginning. I hope some of you enjoyed some pitch black trail riding, even though Delridge had a pretty worn rut along it.
Your 2014 Clappy winners were as follows:
Best Newb, Female: Lauren V
Best Newb, Male: Ajat
Most likely to need their own professional services: Nurse Justin
Special Achievement in Defiance of the T.O.S.: Fat Rob, eater of whole cookies
Best unprovoked nude Cameo: Bast
Your 2014 Chrisdaster Race Winners:
First place with 1-5 cards: Greg Barnes
Best Stud Hand: Nurse Justin, with a straight
Best Draw Hand: Gary, with a straight flush
Lost and Found:
I picked up an XL LS Black .83 Jersey and a L/XL black with red stripe Walz cycling cap as we cleared out of the Chelan. Let me know if either belongs to you.

the Seattle Randonneurs were doing back-to-back longest-night / shortest-day 200k rides on the eastside
instead I did back-to-back urban greenspace enduro alleycats with y'all
I was having all this trouble with oncoming headlight glare racing today, and assumed it was me being stoned
I only just realized that my glasses were coated with mud bound in Papa John's Garlic Sauce

Thanks Andre, Ben, Derrick, pizza Joby, maker of the spoke cards, checkpoint volunteers, fellow riders. Couldn't pick a better group to get drunk and lost in the woods with. What a great night.
