Anything out there that actually works in the rain? I just picked up an old bike with chrome rims, but I don't want my friends to get killed in the rain with no brakes.

Friends don't let friends ride with chrome rims.

Any brake pad made by Kool-Stop that is the salmon (orange-rust) color. Every local bike shop that knows anything stocks them.

Back in "the day" they used to sell leather faced brake pads that worked pretty well. The company Fibrax used to make them. You can still get them in England. Most bikes in the world use steel rims!

Cool... if you bring me two pair tonight, I'll pay ya for 'em! Or I can just pick them up somewhere else. I still owe you beer, too.

OK! $7.99/pair plus tax.

Should I give the .83 discount on deliveries?

I am bringing you these:

No Nachos for me! I am going back to being strictly vegan.

All the shit I injest with you asshats has made me fat and sick!

I will, however, still eat out of the garbage.

There is nothing I can say about this, no matter how badly I want to.

Right on. Your call on the discount. If you waive it for the delivery, does that make you a bike messenger?

too bad. You were looking so healthy. Let me know when your skin turns grey and your hair falls out even faster. Then I can laugh and wave my fish sandwhich at you.

i had those pads on my peugeot. properly adjusted, they're awesome.
I need to get a set for my bianchi and adjust the brakes.. well, it'd help if i'd true those rims, first.. they're already rubbing occasionally.
