I've been looking at alternatives for bars for my big dummy, that would make it more comfy to ride for longer (perhaps touring) and wouldn't require moving away from the trigger shifter/brake levers it came with.
Any opinions on these Jones H-Bar setups? Also accepting suggestions if you got 'em.

I have no opinion on jones or his h bar. But ticktock scott does have a set of jones h (loop?) bars on his bike if you wanted to fondle a set.

I've been rolling an H bar set up for 9 months from the day I got my Salsa El Mariachi. I love it. Bought from someone who hated it. It's all personal preference.
Prose:
-very comfortable hand position; I never really leave the outside position; that said the point of the bar is to have multiple positions. i occasionally use the get aero mode (far from the brakes); jahn/fred/bicycle times reviewed a jones ti bike that was optimized to use all h loop positions better. My geometry isn't optimized for it but I'm not sad about it
-so many places to stash stuff on the bars... Bags, lights, etc.
-durable (has survived impact)
-burly. Sometimes I huck on my bars in potatoe (aka dan quayyyle) mode. They don't flex or give me the these are gonna break wibble wobbles
-pretty versatile; I feel like it's a solid all-around bar
Wrath of Kahns:
-weight weenies will troll you (when they snap their bars... You'll smile and help them with their scrapies)
-not recommended for getting rad through skinny trees on get rad trails (only time I've thought about swapping em' out); the "knuckle-buster" problem
-not cheap per se
-KAAAAAAAAAAAHHHNNN!!!
Fred should weigh in on his view of the H Loop.

Thanks TooTall for the excellent summary. Perhaps I'll give them a go. The stock bars on the dummy are just too wide, and I don't think I'd like them after mile 30.

FWIW, I've had hand numbness on longer rides (50+ miles) on my road bike with mustache bars. Never had numbness with these bars, even after 20 miles of teeth chattering Port Gamble trails. But I have some weird size restrictions. I've never used drop bars, because I can't ever comfortably use them. Any bar that drops too far below my saddle causes all sorts of issues for me.
Take note: these bars are pretty wide. I'll be riding Thursday: happy to let you give em' a whirl.

I've had the Jones Loop bar on my Disc Trucker for ~6 months and I love 'em. They are very wiiiiide. I cut at least 2" off each side for city/touring riding. I actually moved the brake levers and shifters inside the 'loop' for a more compact set-up and still have 3-4 hand postions. They are the most comfortable flat/swept bars I have ridden.
