One time, Andre & I ordered lots of gear for half off because we found a random coupon code. Just want to share the wealth. Tired of seeing people post used bike shit that's more expensive than what you could buy it for new and discounted (not here, elsewhere). Seriously, the mark up on sporting goods is absurd. IMHO, a used messenger backpack is never worth more than half the retail, especially because they are often discounted new at 20 to 30%.

If you ever shop at competitive cyclist/backcountry, consider joining The Mountaineers for a very nice discount. Also, they just worked out a deal with WTB for pro-deal discounts.

Oh but you want a discount for joining the mountaineers? Ok. Get a Chinook book. Which also has deals at many LBS.

In that vein, shit be on sale today at Timbuk2.

Also, only buy gear when the need arises.
-Did you get wet or cold because your gear failed at Scenic Beach?
-Oh, you had to shimmy together some zip ties and hope to god your wheel didn't fall off?
-Couldn't see in the dark on that trail because your light was too dim?
-You felt guilty you couldn't carry more firewood/beer to the pit because you didn't have a rack or bag big enough?
Ok, search around for the right equipment to fix a specific issue you've been having. Don't buy because you think you might use it. That's how you end up with a room full of bicycle parts.

Winter blues got you down?
This is a hot tip.

Ask for "the footie pajamas".

You won't regret it.

Whatever you do, don't look at the mole on her cheek. You will regret that.

I just got a $200 pair of shoes for $50 on Nashbar in their Small and Tall section.(For the record, I wear size 40 shoes, which isn't that small for women.)
