The doc begrudgeingly cleared me to ride a bike in a few weeks so long as I wear a full face helmet. I don't know anything about them... other than I don't think I'm not looking for a top of the line helmet, just something to use for month or so. Where do I get one? What options do I look for?

Denny had a cool one he used for his electric assist bike (RIP). Maybe drop him a line?

After cracking my zygomatic, my Mom made me try on full face helmets. I convinced her that it was more dangerous by having her try it on and then listen for noises around her. That said, I'm impressed. The answer is obvious. You need to pick up a MIPS from Bell that's Star Wars themed. I've been thinking about getting one just because it looks bad ass and would actually prevent an accident like yours. Of course, lightsaber based braking systems have an entirely different kind of stopping power.
The best part is that the helmet can be converted to not using a chin strap. And I get a discount. Holler at me if you want and you can paypal and I'll purchase.

↑The reviews on that helmet are that it's wildly inconsistent.

This one is more Vader themed. Fitting.
Despite his tragic vegetablizing, Tomy does have some advice on the matter.
