I put a dab of teflon grease on the ends of all my spokes. Usually addresses the issue of spoke wind up well. After 40 or 50 wheels, I've yet to see or hear of any long term issues with it. Given my (admittedly anecdotal) experience, putting loctite on their spokes/nipples seems superfluous but YMMV.
Let me be pre-emptive by saying, just shut up about it Fred.
have to admit I remember when you made that recommendation, but I didn't have any teflon, so I opted for some Phil Wood grease I had in a tube kicking around. Certainly made getting everything tensioned up pretty nice because the spokes weren't twisting.
One thing I'm a bit worried about it when it's time to ride - will the spokes "back out" due to flexion over time?

Did you know that Quiet Riot bassist Rudy Sarzo, though pictured on the album's cover, did not actually play bass on the titular track, "Metal Health"?
That honor belongs to Chuck Wright, the band's original bassist.

dude you make a thing of spending extra money on DT Pro-Lock Nipples that come with loctite in them
adding grease seriously degrades the loctite though
in that scenario I don't know what's superfluous anymore

No, I don't Fred. But again thanks for playing. Will refer to my preemptive reply of, go ahead and have a great big cup of shut the fuck up.
