Over the past couple of years, I've gone through a few sets which leaves me with a few used tires sitting in the back of the garage waiting to be recycled or repurposed. Is there any projects I could use old tires for, or should I pitch them in the recycling?

I usually make bunjees out of the tubes, but I'm wondering what to do with the tires

you can make some tire boots for your flat tire kit.
that will help you dispose of about 1/30th of one of those tires.

By that you mean take 'em to Les Schwab right? Cause they and many other tire shops will take and recycle used bike tires. Some bike shops will too.

Last I checked, curbside recycling won't take 'em, so if you put 'em in there they'll end up in the trash.

I sometimes take them to a tire/bike shop, but sometimes forget... forget... and so for some pairs I just end up saying fuckit and tossing them in the trash. I know, I'm a horrible person. :-P

I burn mine in enclosed spaces and enjoy the fumes.
