For $150 we can get a 1/2 and a 1/4 barrel. Is two 1/2 barrels too much? It's up to the people, if two kegs is what you want then the dude abides

I've seen you guys drink. I don't think 2 kegs is too much. Can I still contribute even though it's been fully funded?

Also, in case you hadn't noticed...We are a consumptive group. Vehicle support really needs to be prioritized for carrying beer/water/food/wood out and trash back.

You and your bike should be hauling your camp gear, repair kit, clothes, and snacks at a minimum.

Trying to cook anything besides hot dogs and marshmallows on the main fire is considered 'fire fucking'. There are lots of installed charcoal grills that you can boil your billycan or cook your hobo foil pack on.

Glad to hear you're still accepting donations.

Just like bikes, n+1 is the correct number of kegs for the annual Ben Country outing!

I'm going to donate to the beer fund the old fashioned way, and just walk over to Jake's and give him some cash.

The order is in two half barrels. Pale for the hop heads and kölsch for the kegstands

The internet tells me that's 248 pints.

I also heard one keg can't be tapped until Ben smokes a cigarette, nor the other until Jerf takes a swig of whiskey.

Kegelot.

Once my tent is up I can have whiskey. In my tent. My tent of safety and good decision making.

What's the drinking water situation at the destination? Do we need to filter?

I do like to poop. But I also prefer my poop to be controlled and orderly.

The Middle Fork site indicates there are hand pumps for water, and it doesn't say to not drink it, and that's good enough for me!

We could also get jugs of water at Iwajimaya and put them in Derrick's enormous truck.

At least one of the pit toilets was open in the campground. There are other toilets at the MF trailhead ~1/4 mile away. If you're gonna spew, spew in there.

I didn't see a working pump/water at the campground. Maybe Fred or Ben did. I only checked one but saw others.

There are nearby rivers for waters sources. Treat/filter/boil.

Best practice is to shit directly into the river. LNT.

Will preregistration be available for this ride? When do we pick up our bibs? Are aero bars allowed?

Reminds me of this joke:

"A mathematician injured his hand and was taking opiates for the pain. He'd become quite constipated and after a few days of being unable to produce a bowel movement, he made a visit to his doctor. Upon describing his plight to his physician the doctor inquired, 'Have you tried working it out with a pencil?'"

I'll see myself out(side where it's 75F and beautiful)
