the probability of me leaving Friday after work for riding up to Alice Creek just went up based on the current forecast.

will look to meet up with the group Saturday in North Bend.
also will probably switch to a tent for shelter instead of a bivy.

In my dreamworld i ride Sat. And camp as you do. I have to work Sunday and will either need to leave my truck in middle fork or better yet, carpool home in a.m. Being in seattle no later than 10:30. Is there someone out there who will be driving and heading back to Seattle Sunday morning? I know... I know.

Did I? Or did the probability of keg(s) increase?

At least the wind will be calm. I still think there's plenty of time for the weather to change. Hopefully for the better.

Also I gave a pretty big tarp and lot's of rope if a driver wants to come grab it.

Whatevs, lots of trees for cover in the campground and for attaching tarps to.

We're approaching the cutoff for cheap shipping of goods to finish up my camping kit.

Need to order some pedals, grips, and a saddle. I mean, I have some of these things, but not in a nice matching color.

As this is the last camping trip for a while due to impending dadhood, I am also going to live the dream and get a train tent. Or maybe a rocketship. Or castle.

The rain means I have to change my plan too. I mean I was just going to bungie things to my porteur rack. But now I should probably get a propper bag. Where do they sell those? Are they even less than the $200 Swift ones?

I think the worries about rain are a bit premature. There is a shelter up there and we're with people who know how to rig a tarp and make a huge fire.

I can't tell if I'm actually worried or if I'm just talking myself into a sweet rando bag I probably shouldn't buy.

sunglasses.gif couldn't be found, the cloud redirected to this instead

On a more serious note, I got all my shit together for this trip yesterday, then promptly took it all off/apart and put it away so I could do it again at the last minute on Sat. morning. And the answer to whether or not my lowrider front rack works with the KCMetro/ST bus racks is a firm 'No'. But I don't need that much rackspace for a single night outside so it doesn't really matter right now anyways.

I'm still anxiously awaiting details to a ride that not only do I have no intention of attending, I most likely will be completely unable to attend.

PS: I will inform you of this later Ben

I also cannot attend this ride. But for anyone who is in Uzbekistan we can do our own thing.

I miss you guys. Have a blast.

Dear Ben,
I'm hanging out in a state that looks like an oven mit instead of finding an apartment in Chicago like an adult, I guess that's what next weeks for. Happy birthday and shit. I also miss you guys.......you too Dravis.

There are so many jokes I want to make right now, but I know at least two people who are aware of where I live, where I work, and are armed.

How 'bout you nut up, buttercup! Hitch yer britches! Gird your loins! I don't care if it's raining cats and dogs, or if a massive mech-trump attacks us with freedom lazers. WE ARE CAMPING. THAT IS WHAT WE DO.

I remember the rains, back in Ben Country VI.

SHAKA, WHEN THE WALLS FELL.

interesting word filer. If I put in V.I., it comes out to VI

BUT weather underground and weather.com and basically everyone but noaa thinks it's going to be nicer: ~20% chance of precip. Also, even noaa says the precip amount wont be to much.

i've got my fingers crossed.

also, for all the drivers, the road will be open, but the calendar says they "can" delay you for up to 60 mins.

I think a keg might be in order. What say you, old man albertson?
