Hey folks,

Details to come later, but briefly: my geared bike is pretty busted up, and for the time being I might need to keep it busted up for insurance stuff. The problem is that I have a relay race (Ski to Sea) this coming weekend. Would anyone possibly be able to lend me a me-ish sized bike (probably 58/59 or so) that I could use this weekend? Beverages and good vibrations in exchange, of course.

If youre not too picky you can borrow my cross/adventure bike. Salsa La Cruz frame 56cm (fits like a ~59 imo), 1x10 drivetrain, discs, and barlow pass tires. May not have the range or whatnot youre after.

thanks tons for the offer. It's 41 miles down a mountain so I'm really hoping to find a double, but I might take you up on this if my bike remains fuckered and nothing else pops up. I'm thinking I'm just going to start working on the bike while taking very careful photo documentation.

Do photo documentation and get a bike shop to give you a written repair estimate. That should be good enough, you don't need to keep the bike in a broken state.

Yeah, you definitely want a 52 tooth big ring for that one.
