Are you like me and work on the Eastside but don't have time to ride all the way around the lake or to I-90? Do you hate waiting in line for the bus (even if it's with other like-minded individuals mindful enough to use a bicycle for transportation)? Well, it looks like WSDOT's finally done something useful and installed webcams at the 520 freeway stations.

I often have to decide whether to stop short at Yarrow Point (NE 92nd) or keep riding to the end of the 520 trail @ Evergreen Point. It's always a gamble because you can often "cut" the line at Evergreen Point by stopping at Yarrow. No more! This webcam points directly at the WB platform and can be used to make that decision on the go!

Why don't you take the Microsoft bike shuttle? It holds a shitload of bikes. I've never been turned away.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I want to ride my bike, esp. now that the 520 trail is done from 108th -> Evergreen Point.

Also I didn't know that 12 was a shitload, TIL...

12 is a shitload compared to 3.

Sure, but the dead-heading/base-bound buses will stop and let you carry your bike on the bus if the rack is full. An empty metro bus can carry many more than 12 bikes... and they're just about as frequent as the bike shuttle
