I've got this seat post binder bolt with a futuristic anti-theft feature: pentagonal socket on the bolt head. Unfortunately I don't have an Allen for it. Is it still an Allen if it only has 5 sides? Almost-All-en? ehhhh

Anyways I can't find one of these things anywhere. Anyone have any leads? I'm not even sure how to measure it... center of flat to point I guess? I can fit a 5.5 hex in there, but not a 6, in case any geometry nerds want extra credit.

oh jeez.

Any chance you can vice-grip it and replace it with something else?
Or find an allen key + rubber band and torque it out?

any way to get it with dremmel tool. Or drill it out, then fill hole with JB Weld and something that you can shove in the new hole that is gripable

Could this be your huckleberry?

If so, every hardware store on the planet has them for sale.

Ask Recycled Cycles, they may have the tool.

Weld a real wrench into it, remove, and discard.

Trivia: fire hydrants have pentagonal tools to prevent tampering.
