on my way home from W. Seattle last night, i noticed quite a bit of resistance in the rear wheel. couldn't figure out what it was at first, but found out it was the disc brake - if i used it at all, it would lock up (the rear wheel would be clamped with such force that it wouldn't turn at all) and i'd need to stop and roll the bike backwards or jiggle it to get it to sorta unclamp. but while riding, it seemed the brake calipers kept squeezing in on the disc, so i'd have to use the brake, wiggle the bike, then go again. it progressively became more and more stopped up at shorter and shorter intervals until it locked up completely. in the Interbay trainyards. at 3AM. that sucked.
i am suspecting either a leak in the cable, or too much air got in the line somehow. ideas?

check the pistons to make sure there's nothing (like dirt or rust) causing them to bind up. since you'll have the wheel off this is also a good time to replace the pads if they're worn too. may as well check the wheel and rotor to make sure they're true.
check the hydro lines and seals for cracks or leaks. replace if needed.
