Hey folks, the soles of my hiking boots are nearing completely-flat territory. I'm sure some folks here have had their boots resoled, and for the most part trust you more than random googlings. Who do you recommend? What's the general cost? Any hot tips I should know before I bite this bullet?

I had a pair of boots for 10 years, the soles delaminated 6 miles from the trailhead. I had them in the basement for 6 months thinking I should get them re soled. Summer came around again. I ordered some new boots on the internet and threw the old ones away.

The shoe place by the Broadway QFC charged me like $90 to resole my work boots, never called me when they were done and they came delaminated within a week. Don't go there.

Swansons on 45th in wallingford. Ive gone a few times before. I went in a month ago to have them resole a pair of my boots. Resole with vibram soles is $50 or $60 for parts and labor, depending on sole style. Waiting period was 3 or 4 weeks.
