The paramount, after 8 years of riding, is starting to look its age, and it's time for a paint refresh. Anyone know of a top notch restoration painter in town? I'd like to keep the same paint scheme, but the challenge is that I have been unable to find the same decals that were originally part of the 60th anniversary stencil set. When this frame was painted last time, it was by Acme, but they're out of business, and at least back in '04 or so when that was done (before I owned it), they were able to get the decals, since this paint job is not original.

i've heard good things about that dude... uh... he has a blue business card. it's a really thick business card, which is why I don't have it in my wallet anymore. someone here will know who i'm talking about. substantially cheaper than r+e, and if I recall correctly, he does both powder and wet.

r+e is worth talking to if you want to spend a bunch of money on wet. They had a full restoration deal on a month or so ago, maybe that's still happening?

seattle powder coat for basic (but well done) powder.

I got the Expedition powdercoated there, but they don't do wet. I want to restore this to it's original condition that I got it in '09.

looks like R+E or Waterford are both good options. Would R+E be able to do the stenciling? I'll have to bug beau or latenite I suppose.

You should go to Adam next to Colin's Shop.

Examples of his work.

Adam restored my Davidson (and the original lightning bolt) with decals he acquired from Bill in Fremont. You should support him. He's an awesome guy and local.

Why Adam:
-He has incredible attention to detail and his work is the absolute best in town.
-There's no wait and he turns things around quickly. You also don't have to wait for your bicycle to come back dented in the mail.
-If it doesn't look right, he'll redo it the correct way. My bicycle wouldn't take powder because of the faraday effect. He wouldn't let it look like shit. I can't recommend Adam enough.
-He's a small business entrepreneur trying to make a go of it. We'd be stupid as a club if we don't support him. He will keep us happy for many years if we support him.
