Yeah, that has great potential for one-way bike riding and meeting spouse+babby+car at the other end.

Kitsap transit also approved a foot/bike ferry this year http://kitsapferries.com. Bremerton to seattle in 30 min. Last year I heard they were looking at the same for port townsend to seattle. Dunno whatever happened to that.

Pt Townsend would be cool. I like the Bremerton run as-is. Having an hour to hang out in the galley or sun deck with friends is part of the bencountry / bike camping highlight for me.
