ugh, I am probably still a week away from escaping Baby Jail with a Thursday night hall-pass. See y'all soon, and if any of you want to come by to meet baby, I'd love the company.

I think I am torn between 3-rock park and SLU on such a fine day. While triple rock is beautiful, it might be just a smidge too windy, and the shelter of the SLU behind QA will provide a more accomodating environment

This will be one of my last Thursday rides for the summer, better make it count. Conflicting work hours, I get off at 11 from now on so keeping the twitters updated will always be much appreciated.

That trail to Georgetown was some of the gnarliest gravel I can recall riding on a Thursday.

Solid evening.
On the way home I witnessed a guy fully passed out with his foot on the brake sitting in an intersection. He would shake awake every once in a while when the car started to slip forward for just long enough to brake again and slump over. Took about 10 minutes for the cops to show up and pull him out. In the whole time he moved about 10 feet. Probably the safest drunk/high driving I've witnessed.

Reminds me of when I used to live at 20th and Denny, had something similar happen. Woke up to a weird sound outside, so went to investigate.
Drunk guy, barely concious in his car, door wide open, one foot on the pedals the other foot on the ground, SOMEHOW had driven his car onto the grassy patch between a telephone pole and the fence to the place I was renting, around and into the back end of a car. He'd put it in gear, and hit the gas alittle bit, and push that car forward, and stop. Then he'd put it in reverse, try to reverse but never gun it hard enough, and stop. WHILE I WAS STANDING THERE, he repeated this 6 or 7 times. Then he got up, WITH THE CAR STILL IN DRIVE, smiled at me, walked across the street, peed in the bushes, went back into the car, and repeated the process.
Took about 30-45 minutes for the cops to show up finally, and we joked if they had a betting pool on the guy's BAC
But, back to the ride - thanks to my regular practice of completely disassembling and re-assembling my bicycle on a regular basis, that pinch flat (and resulting chain stuck behind my cassette) was the first Thursday Mechanical by yours truly in 3+ years. Granted, if you take into account 2016 BC mechanical, that still is 14 months since my last .83 mechanical.
Take care of your shit, folks, and you too can have such an excellent success rate!

This is exactly how Belichick picked up Michael Floyd for nothing last year.

Same old route thru The Jungle from Beacon -> Spokane St, but now with bigger rocks, less brambles and a lot more soft dirt & loose gravel. Presumably from when they cleared out The Jungle.
Speaking of which, riding thru that area and having it be deserted was eerie af.
