Coincidently tomorrow just so happens to be the Harvest Moon. And it's a clear night. And 60 of the lords degrees out. Lets go light stuff on fire, gaze at the luminous orb, sing high lonesome songs, and maybe scream in to the abyss.

This is not a going away ride. This is just a tribute.
I haven't been out in too long, and I'm moving to Oregon next Tuesday.
Today is my last day at work.
Gonna ride some bikes tonight.

Sorry not sorry Joe. Some facts you may find pertinent:
Proper ISO 8601 title
Posted < 24 hours before actual ride time
Relevant title, topic, and theme
That silver chris king headset is not in my possession
Theres still a bag of free grass seed on my porch
Riding bikes is actually mandatory for .83 bike rides
If that last one isnt a deal breaker I'll see you tonight?

We harvest the full moon's light in:
Tonight's moonrise is @ 7:07pm PDT
It sets @ 8:08am PDT tomorrow morning
If that isn't a sign that you should ride bikes, I don't know what is

in totally unrelated news, tonight is probably my last ride with my Vittoria 1976 shoes, as they are pretty much done - I've cracked the sole completely on both, and after 5.5 years, I have obtained a new pair of shoes which will be arriving Friday.

It took me a while to get this because all i could think was "oh man, look at those large quartz crystals, these definitely cooled slowly! and behold, the feldspar! probably granite"
Then i tried to think about why that might apply to the ride.

It was behind QA at 1825 yesterday when I crossed I-5 on Roanoke. Prepare accordingly... like usual I'll be seeing y'all at Westlake around 7.
Try not to get to the level of seeing double at the triple rock(s)...

Not burning the teepee was the only thing keeping the hobos at bay.
Nice picture you say? But it could use something more to it, eh? How about some Ksep then?
In conclusion

How is this post timestamped 805pm on Thursday? All the other posts in the thread have timestamps that appear accurate, but this one seems to require a flux capacitor.
A+ ride. Loved every part of it. Stayed out too late and drank too much again but whatever. Farewell Jimmy and thanks for sacrificing a tire in the name of hoots and hollers.

Edits don't change the timestamp on the original post. An "edited at" timestamp doesn't appear unless there are posts in the thread after it. Try it out for yourself later. My memory of last night is hazy, but I recall Donavan originally posting that we were at the mini-mart on Delridge and then adding to it as the night progressed.
Dave said it best and while my body was running on fumes this morning, my heart was full. Farewell Jimmy and best of luck on your new, sales tax-free adventures!

That was fantastic, thanks all.
Two of my faborite question/responses from last night:
"Wait, couldn't we have just turned left from the street?"
"But there was a bridge!"
"We rode all that way just to end up back here on Delridge?"
"But the ride IS the thing."

Blaaaah. Lost a "Cars R Coffins" glove and a yellow rainer/hodala/dank r2beer2 cozy. I would dearly like to get these back as the gloves are unobtanium and the cozy was a gift from sally.

Dear degenerates:
Some of you went right by our house. (Did you stop at the 7-Eleven?) We ran out to yell "get a car, hippie" and someone (perhaps new?) was too drunk to realize we were just saying a friendly hello. Tsk tsk. I know I saw Fred, and someone else wearing a jersey, who should have known better.
We're bummed to know that you were so close and yet, so far. Next time you're in the Delridge area of West Seattle you should actually stop and have a drink in our yard. It's been kind of hectic and we have a serious lack of childcare right now, so we haven't been able to get out and join the group recently. (Also, for my part, it turns out that having a baby inside you squeezes your lungs and makes it hard to breathe in everyday life, let alone when trying to conquer Seattle's hills on a bike.)
What I'm saying is, you guys should ride up here again and we will provide some booze and maybe even snacks.
