Tour de Water Tower - April 27th
The return of a classic Seattle alley cat format - with prizes, pain, glory, and beer in generous helpings.

You'll need to bring a pen and $10, the burning sensation in your legs is complimentary.

12:00pm Meet up at Myrtal Edward's 3 Rocks (near the pedestrian bridge)

There'll be free beer!

Now accepting bets on whether or not this will entail more climbing than Ben Country...

That's almost 1000 meters, unfortunately the Climbing Challenge for April is 7500 meters. So much for my thought of knocking that out in one day :/

I'll be heckling from a distance. I just noticed that last one on the web site cover. I get that it's satire not literal but ever wonder if people see it and say nah I'm not a drinker and are taking it literally? If not at least from a internal philosophical point?

This was really fun. Great day, great weather. Thanks for throwing such an excellent race, race-throwers!

Really curious how many folks hit all seven of the stops. Also curious how many people hit the bonus stop but then missed one of the required stops like a dummy/like me.

made it to 6/7 stops in 2:45 and felt like I just didn't have it in me to get from Queen Anne to Magnolia in the 15 minutes before that checkpoint closed.

probably could have easily hit all the required stops if I hadn't taken that "bonus" detour. i will definitely be kicking myself for that, and for not having the legs to bank enough time to make that final stop.

just having 10 more minutes and slightly better weather would have probably made the difference for me.

edit: Strava lulz. Cade's winning ride got flagged for being too fast. :)
