Keep the twitters updated - I have a celebratory commitment until sunset for a friend who just finished his PhD and is about to spend the summer riding across the country

A spare group of fewer than 20 (down to 16, then 13, then 6...), on the shortest night of the year.
I may have expected more folks to show, but I have no complaints, as tonight was delightful.
Some debate about where to go: Lincoln Park, or Alki, or Jack Block Park. Dravis is in town, so let's show him a good sunset, of course.
But ksep (despite being prepared with towel and swimsuit) had ideas not involving beaches (and he had the willingness to lead and follow through). In the end we were Tukwila bound, to the Duwamish Hill Preserve. And just because the sunset isn't on the water doesn't mean it's not pretty
Headwind South, but then a tailwind back North, and Airport Way leads right back to Bush Gardens. Dravis sang Heroes, there were Mai Tais. and we agreed that Karaoke brings out the best of humanity.
