Whoa.
There is this weird sort of clicking noise coming from my BB. It only happens when I am out of my saddle climbing, or during really torque-y accelerations.
Sometimes it is accompanied by a slight whirring or whining sound.

1) Make sure your bb lock rings are properly tightened. While you are at it, grease the threads.
2) Same as above for your pedals.
if that doesn't work:
3) Drink more, ride listening to loud music and you won't notice it.

All that and:
Clean the flats of the BB spindle and the crank arm.
Tighten the chain ring bolts (greasing them isn't bad either).

It may be the weather, but I have to go through this routine about once a week.
I'm starting to wonder if my old cranks and my new BB spindle aren't mating properly.

No, my bike loves me. It's just demands lots of attention and money. If it doesn't get it, it makes a lot of noise and is generally a pain in the ass.
That's why I think of it as female.

My cranks are starting to complain more and more. And I got another hop in my rim. My bike needs love!
