It was nice to see the two of you
how far apart or together you may be

Last time I just rode off
but you knew I was only on my way
and I would want to hear
about it all

The signs
The streets
The people
The buses
The trees growing from stone
The cracks in the sidewalk
The bodegas
The trash that collects in the corners
The discarded bottles
Clothes strewn about
People eating in their cars

and when you told me
all the time I could hear you saying

This Is What The World Looks Like From A Bike!

and you knew I had to have
this view from a bike

and there we were
and there it was

Beer, Karaoke,
A perfect view of Brooklyn
from so far away
so vivid and real

over the din, I thought I heard you
compliment
my singing
but it was too late
to get a turn at the stage

The next singer was taking the stage

It was nice to see the two of you together
however far apart or close you may be

The singer takes the mike
The singer steps upon
the stage

The music begins
The singer begins the song
and she takes us back
there

To the people sitting on steps
The buses
The trees growing from stone
The cracks in the sidewalk

I want to take all these pictures
I am the Photographer
