My friend Sean is about to get into running pretty hardcore, but he's over 40 and he never ran cross-country or track so I know he's going to destroy himself running on pavement.

Does anyone have a road bike they'd be willing to let me borrow for a month so I can lure Sean away from jogging? He's 6' 3" and stoked about trying. I'd be happy to give siad bike a tune up if it needs it.

loaning out a bike to an unknown novice is a pretty big ask but good luck

True, though I did take a poll here a few years ago and it seemed like a majority of people had an average of like 5 bikes in various states of repair. I can't find the poll though.

I'll have him take a look at the Craigslist ad though, thanks. He's still employed so he should be able to afford $200 :)

I still have this frame:

and these wheels:

Plus lots of parts (bars, brakes, tires, etc.) in my garage to get it all mostly rolling. Good lockdown project.

For a 6’3” dude it’d be a good fit and comparable to anything you’d find on CL.

Thanks Rob :) I'll ping Sean and see if he's down for that. If he is I'll hit you up.

I've got a 62cm Univega set up with flat bars and platform pedals that I was going to list on CL this week. Asking $200.
