It ended up that after paying for shipping I didn't really save a ton of money on this, but I like it none the less.

Next step are a pair of 9spd STIs and some beatable wheels and I'll have a second bike (a blue Raleigh Technium) all built out. Unless of course I leave the bikeswap with a nicer frame, in which case the projects will continue...

BTW derrick Ultegra/105/Tiagra Stis can be used on double or triple set ups, no adjustments necessary, D/A you need a specific double or triple sti shifter.

I swaped my 105 triple crank and der for a Ultegra double and used the same 105 sti's.

still kinda confused, are you saying those components are pretty interchangeable?

right now ive got a front sora triple der. and a rear 105 der. i was going to find some cheaper sora 3x9 stis, those will all work together right?

Yes your plan to get 3x9 sora sti's should work. I think sora's are either double or triple specific like D/A actually. My comment just means that if you can get some 9 speed 105 sti's for cheap you don't need to worry about the left (front) sti being a double or triple, it will work with either
