What I'd really like is something that is all of the following:
square taper (107mm phil bb), 175mm (+/-5mm), <= 104 BCD, forged, and black (preferably)
The deal is my Dimension CX cranks don't really have the clearance on my frame (KM). There's < 1mm between the outer edge of the spider flange and the chainstay. They're 110 BCD, and that's a wee too big for my BB and frame. They rubbed/scratched the chainstay until I moved the whole BB over a couple mm. I'd like my BB more centered, and I'd like more than 1mm of clearance between crank arm/spider and chainstay.
Anyone have ideas (brand, retailer, etc)?

might i suggest a slightly longer bb spindle as the most direct solution?

craziness - i know a smaller bcd would work based on the shape of the chainstay. i like the narrow q. and i don't want to have my phil bb go unused...
any idea where i can get middleburn rs7 cranks? i think i'd get one with a 104 spider and with a 32t uno spider/ring thing. i just haven't found them available outside uk.

well, i mean, if i have to i could probably find somewhere to use your phil bb, since i'd also hate to see it go unused. i'm just saying, if your tolerances are only off by 3mm or so and you are happy with your current crankset otherwise, it seems like a new bb is by far the easiest and cheapest solution.
if you are the sort of folk who can recognize a 3mm difference in your q factor then i have to say you might be asking about with the wrong people? i probably couldn't identify a 1cm difference in my q factor.

I've also seen cranks "dremel"d for a little extra clearance. If your frame is decently stiff, a couple mm clearance should be plenty and you usually won't miss a little off the tip...

You're making this far too complicated. Use your bday money and get yourself one of these:

So Aero!
I love the rear wheel fairings.
And solid rubber tires and rigid (compression/tension) spokes.
Bring It!

what's the tt on that thing? i might need a longer stem...
the bike is happy with the bb it has, and found the cranks cheap. cranks can go. no, it's not the smart or easy thing to do, but it's what the bike wants.
anyone know a place to get middleburn cranks - only places i found were in uk.
