Dude that sucks, what is the rest of the story? I am sure somebody in this crowd has the technology to fix it though.

you know, the paint is all chipped and shit, I think it would probally just be better to buy a used silver or yellow fork. probally come by you place with a six pack to do the installation/removal though if that would be alright.

It might be best to have a professional (me) look at it first.

why? The paint can't be replaced without paying way more than it would be worth, and I want it to look pretty because I may be selling it.

A good job can be done with a rattle-can (spray paint).

ahh that's much better, thank you once again, my arms were getting sore trying to keep the bike aligned right.

Steel frames and forks can almost always be realigned.
Even this bike could be repaired. If (when) we stop importing cheap bikes from the Far East, it might even be worth it. I bet David Wilson could fix it at a reasonabale price. Rattle can paint job and rebuilt front wheel. $400 maybe on the low end. Too bad we live in a throw-away society.

yeah we do live in a throw away society...if I even screwed up my univega like that I would just throw it instead of salvage it...I got the bike for $20.

fortunately since we live in a throwaway society, every time i've broken a frame i've been able to get another one for free or cheap. the graveyard should be only for the dead.
