We were talking at Shorties on Saturday (Amanda, Justin, Chessa and I), and it turns out we all like to shoot guns.

We need a .83 night at the range. What do you think?

How about a detour around Madison Park first? I haven't been over towards the lake in awhile. Then sure, sounds like fun!

OMFG I had no idea any of you enjoyed firearms. It just so happens I got a Glock last week and have been fucking itching to take it out and I can't think of any other bunch of idiots I'd rather go shoot with so count me in.

Guns scare me. But if I was to put a car on the bullseye I might be able to come. What if we were drinking too?

Drinking before the Thursday ride might be an issue if you ride to the gun club. I'm about 100% sure they won't let you shoot if you have any sort of alcohol going on. After - for sure, before - not so much.

Where is the gun club anyway?

I suppose it depends on where we put the emphasis in your name. If I go with Hippy then I would assume that you are a pacifist and wouldn't be interested. However, if I go with Angry then I start to think of you more like Robert DeNiro in Taxi Driver. "are you talking to me?"

Oh fuck yeah. I'm not shooting with anyone who's had anything to drink at all.

The only indoor range I know of is in Bellevue.
I think from the poll results that this won't be a Thursday activity. We could do some other day though.

I know that one on Bell-Red road over on the Eastside. That's FAR for a Thursday...and I doubt they'd even stay open late enough.

They're open until 10:00. That would just barely work with a 7:30 departure time, but I don't want to do a Thursday activity that most people aren't in to.

Maybe some Tuesday or Wednesday.

To Answer the cost question, it would be somewhere between $20 and $30, depending on the guns are ammunition used.

ulimited power with the squeeze of a trigger, yep, that's a good idea.
i don't see how anyone could screw that up.

i'm not sure that is a grammatical error so much as a mental slip. the your/you're and its/it's people apparently lack the ability to distinguish between those two terms and when to use them. i'm pretty sure joby knows the difference between 'and' and 'are'.

if you guys ride to bellevue to kill things (even if they never lived) i'll happily ride along and cut off at The Mustardseed.

I can figure out how to strip most weapons in a couple of minutes.

Maybe derrick is right. Orion, myself and Sean the Younger should host a weapon cleaning wrench night.

You have a gun??
Yes, it's cheaper if you bring your own.

Lane fee: $12.00
Extra person per lane $7.00 (maximum 3)

Gun rental, Ammo, various prices.

It sort of depends on the makes.

I'm guessing they are both some type of semi-auto on the basis that if you can't work out a single shot, then more advanced technology like a pencil is probably beyond you. Revolvers aren't much more complicated, just need to know how to pull the cylinder out and get all the muck contained therein.

what kind of 22 do you have? I'm pretty familiar with stripping 22's.

Joby,

My family owns a fucking arsenal. My grandpa even collected old pin-fires for a while. I own a 22, but it lives in my daddys gun safe. I dont think I've shot it since i was 12 or so. If i want a gun, i've got plenty to chose from ;)[/i]

that's Awsome.

I gotta say, I'm suprised how many people voted "Guns are bad".
I mean, my Hippie cred is pretty solid:

I grew up in rural Oregon.
I'm a life-long vegatarian
I've never voted for a republican.
I bicycle to work every day.
I was sorting my cans from my glass and paper in the '70s.
etc. etc.

But come on, It's not like using a rental gun at a shooting range is going to "Turn you Conservative".

Try new things!
