The bar I work at is having a big birthday party tomorrow night and there is going to be LOTS of free booze there. A couple of the people that I invited can't come, but I think it's important that I take this opportunity to push the limits of my bosses' hospitality by bringing near-strangers if necessary.

Would any of you be into going? The more rad, non-industry people there, the better for all of us who work there. Anyway, I'll find out how many people I'm allowed to bring. I don't need to have met you or anything, you just need to fuckin give'r, eh?

I'm thinking she was a bit overwhelmed. I'm not sure how many she's able to bring of course, but the invite appeared to've been flooded. If it makes it easier for you Erin, I'm opting out, errands and chores for me tonight. Thanks for the invitation.

No, you dorks didn't scare me off at all, I was just busy with a little something known as work!?

I'm still not sure how many people I can bring tonight, but I'm thinking of pitching it as something like "these people organize these growing weekly bike rides and it would be to our advantage to wine and dine them tonight.

I don't know any of your real names, so anyone who is really keen to go, give me a call on 206.427.5752 and I will call y'all back around 4 to make the plans.

It's not a formal party or anything, but I'm planning on looking the motherfuckin' bomb so if you like going out like that, this is a good time to do it. When I said "shit show," I just meant that there might be a majority of somewhat sketchy drunk "industry people", as they call themselves!

Anyway call and leave a message and I'll call you back.

i don't know enough information to make a decision. time? general neighborhood? would it be wholly inappropriate for me to rock the tshirt-shorts-bike shoes? i mean, i guess i could call erin and all but even a little bit of info would help me decide.

i as well didn't make it out to this, and i am also sad. i did, however, get a bunch of much needed stuff done around the house, so it wasn't a total writeoff.

LAME

II however spent the evening nursing a broken ass from skateboarding and trying to get the neosporin cap out of the drain in my sink with a pair of chopsticks.

You have to let me know when you are going to the sloop because I can carry my bike home from there.....

I've been there by myself and bored. Probably more fun with familliar people.
