great price on a go fast bike. i'd run the serials but nothing about the ad (except the price) really suggests stolen to me.

54cm Cervelo S1 Soloist, full Dura, $800.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/6169213312.html

yes i know it is not a cool bike.

edit: duhh he says the wheelset in the ad. my bad. Mavic Ksyrium Elite.

Hmm. That's a 5K bike. Selling it for 800 seems kinda suspect.

yeah, would definitely run serial. but some freds are so rich they just want shit gone, and I could imagine that his rich friends don't want anything without di2.

That's not a 5k bike. All-aluminum frame, cheapo Mavic wheels, older D-A parts (except the rear derailleur) with who knows how many miles on them. Somebody's "rain" bike with their old race parts on it. $800 is about right for a "get it out of my garage asap but don't give it away" price.

what he said.

still, if i had $800 to spend on a race bike and was a smaller guy, this would be very attractive.

oh shit it fits me too.

yeah that looks pretty good but i'm no expert. wheelset is meh.

i'm not sure what "built for shallow track" means, more aggressive geo I'm guessing?

if i had the time/money to be at the track this year this would be very very tempting.

edit: interesting that it has road cranks and housing stops for a rear brake.

Jeff lyon is a legit builder based out of grants pass OR. Hes part of the generation of americans that apprenticed in europe during the 70s, then came back to the states to hang up his shingle. I actually had beers and talked shop with him a couple weeks back, was rad. If it'd be ridden properly thats a nice deal.

Jeff Lyon is beyond a legit builder, he is one of the top builders of fillet brazed bikes in the country. That is a bargain if you need a track bike and it fits you. Ignore the wheels, you are buying it for the frame and fork.

One more for those in the CX market. I think I posted this before but maybe in the wrong thread or something.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/d/alan-cross-carbon-bicycle/6230759582.html

needs some dederping but a wicked rad cx frameset with a couple parts that could be useful.

lugged carbon is going to be so hot this season

OBRA listserv usually has at least one or two good deals posted this time of year as people realize #crossiscoming and start cleaning out their garages.

No idea if this ad is legit, but if it is someone should HOP ON IT. This bike is the radness, I love mine, can't recommend it enough, and this is a much nicer build on the same frame with awesome SPACE paint.
