My experience with a Jamis Beatnik is that those braze-ons in the back that the bottom of the rack is bolted to are absolute shit. If anyone does get it, remove the rear rack or only use it for really light stuff, I managed to shear off 3/4 of those braze-ons when I had that as my commuter.

Look at how pristine this Bridgestone is. It would be a crime to get it all muddy.

Free tandem bike!

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/d/tandem-bike-free/6430555051.html

Quote:
Hello, Bert here, I'm giving away my atomic zombie tandem bike. It's fully assembled as you can see in the photos. It's a very nice bike and it's yours free. The woman in the photo is my EX girlfriend. She was caught cheating on me and I can't bare to look at a bike that used to provide us such joint happiness together. I am giving it away free because it feels wrong to profit off a relationship that was a lie!!

It's a smooth ride, comfortable, and easily changed to fit your ongoing needs as these joy-providers are purchased in parts and assembled by the owner.

If you're interested in putting me out of my misery, text me ‭ show contact info ‬ and I can give you the bike ASAP.

I'm tempted to pick it up as a parts bike for the solo 'bent I have that needs a full overhaul. There's no reality in time where my wife gets on that bike.

rebuild by solo recumbent AND use the carcass as the base of the most monstrous freakbike ever. Like, Val's old Dreadnaught epic levels of monstrous.

'86 Trek 500 Tri Series, 56ish, plus a bunch of parts, $125

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/d/trek-commuting-rando-531/6458639447.html

This is basically a 520 w/o canti posts. It is not a triathlon bike. Reynolds 531.

Good price for a good start on a sport touring project.

Haven't seen this bike in particular but this paint on other Treks is really nice and sparkly. I like it.

not craigslist, but rental mointainbike fleet being sold. 2018 bikes, at a nice discount.

https://compassoutdooradventures.com/2018-bike-rental-sales/

If I had $700 I'd jump all over the 27.5 Marin Pine Mountain hardtail they are selling. Good prices on full-squish bikes too

BIANCHI MOUNTAIN/ CITY BIKE - $100 OBO Another grizzley, 19.5", later 80s so dual canti & thumbies. But its still color matched and awesome!

U brake on the Bianchi indicate it's circa 1986-88.

Welp, i just lost a corner on my 80s mtb chit :( I knew they werent actually centerpull deltas, was thinking something like the magura/avid bridges but those were later. same with eyeball frame date, thought u brakes were mid eighties and folks went back to straight canti by 86-87. Oh well, still rad for $100.

58cm Charge Plug single speed in green.

i got it up for $375 on craigslist. $300 for a .83 price. It's one of my storage unit specials. It's a steel framed bike made by a British company that started in 2004. This is one of their earlier bikes but unsure exactly which year. Solid frame, a few scuffs as it looks like a well loved city bike that wasn't afraid to go to a bar and hang out with the other scruffy bikes on the rack closely. Paint is good minus those few light scuffs.

I put new black wrap on the bull bars. I put on a new set of tires (just fortes) 35cs, and I cleaned it up. Saddle looks brand new. It has tektro brakes, alex rims, charge leather looking saddle, and bullhorn bars. Aint much else on it, as it's a single speed.

The rear wheel isn't a single speed wheel, it's a repurposed 7 speed wheel set on a comfy gear. If I was keeping it I'd probably replace that hub as it isn't perfect. But I'll let a new buyer figure that out. Run it as is or replace the wheel to something nicer if you'd like.

300 if i know who the hell you are.
