$1800 in cash is a shit ton of jacksons (90!), but it's still $500 off retail.

Awesome bike for a good deal.

Well ok, it's an OK bike. If one of you fuckers buys it i won't make you pay as much for it.

Holy shit! This is most likely an '80s trek 720, one of the finest touring bikes made! One of you must buy this!

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/337034790.html

ps--the seller has the size wrong--it's most likely smaller, but who cares?

That looks like a 1983 Trek 720. The 47cm chainstays are normally a give away.

It might be a 1984 Trek 520, they had the same paint scheme.

Great bikes although I'm a bit partial to the 1983 520, 6xx bikes.

Oh, if only Trek still made bikes like this. Things started going downhill fast around 1984.

yeah, but $20 less than a new one is a little pricey.

And speaking of $20 less than new:

for all you boat fanatics:

2 folding bikes for $65.

not super nice, but a convenient way to have a bike to ride on when you get up to the island.

also, do you wish you'd been able to come on the cargo bike ride but didn't have any way to haul cargo?

$30 trailer.

or buy both and tow one folding bike around with the other!

I wonder why the $30 trailer was relisted. I emailed him about it when he posted last week and he said that it was sold with a long line of backup purchasers.

Adult-Child Tandem Bike ~ 1971 Atala - $325

A triple with a six speed rear. Not too bad sounding. Good for those of you with kids, or those of you dating midgets.

53cm Bridgestone 400 frameset in Georgetown for $60. Seems like a good deal, but too small for me.
