Id ride the hell out of that. Only objection is 28s, id call it more sport touring. Shosho bought her trek 520 from this dude. Not a creeper, fair representation of goods, take your time to test ride and do own evaluation of it and quality.
They relisted slash updated it. Not sure how all you short* randonerds arent snatching this up. And, after a couple weeks, i suspect they may be willing to compromise on price.
* as in shorter than me. Obviously being the most important person in my world I set the standards for normal.

Things that make me happy: searching the Amsterdam & Copenhagen clist where such a bicycle is slightly below average at best.
Before he put the measurement in his ad I emailed back and forth with him and he seemed like a real nice (albeit kooky) guy. When I mentioned the bike was too big for me he recommended the bike his short lady rides and likes.
"Velo Orange campeur 55cm frame bottom bracket and VO headset only"
FYI this is only $100 off of new. Alos 90% sure that this frameset has been listed on and off for a month or two. Suspect someone could talk them down a bit at this point. Sorry if I threw salt on a pointy three'ers game.

Erm, make that $140 off retail (or is the current $520 price on VO not accurate were they on sale in the recent past?). Plus the BB and headset.

Not a screaming deal, but a bit better.
Also, keep in mind in order to scare away the Joes on Craigslist you have to ask for more than you're willing to accept. Otherwise you spend all your days answering stupid questions from tire kickers.

Pair of Ortlieb panniers, brand newish looking, $60.
I might be wrong, but I think this bike has both Shimano Front Freewheel System (freewheel in the BB, chain moves when coasting) and Positron (indexing in the RD, double cables). Maybe something attractive to a collector type?

looks speedy and fun, made with decent to nice steel. Paintjobs are easier to fix than tubing and geometry.

Shit, $200 for the bike plus $100 for any paintjob color you want. Still a great deal.

that'll be a terrific road bike, it's got lotsa fancy details
"decent to nice steel" is an understatement
only thing derped about it is that the levers are mounted in the wrong place on the Campione del Mondo handlebars, easy to fix
if you have a thing for threaded headsets, it's from the very peak of that era
