I bought that bike for $99.98 brand new in 1971. My brother bought the lemon yellow. We rode them all over the Willamette Valley, had to push those pigs up to Silver Creek Falls.
Thanks for the flashback!

i know bunches of people have short girlfriends and i have seen topics of search for a bike. i think this is a killer deal.....
i can't recommend them highly enough, especially if you've got broad shoulders.
yeah the dude wanted 60$ for like a month, I like noodles too but this is still a bit steep, even if the heat treated ones cost more

I find the promo pictures for this bike amusing. I think it has to do with how photoshopped they look. It got me to wondering: where can you find your Brompton?
Misleading ad! Should read... "This bike is for a tall person who only travels leftward. It is not a new model but it is strong and safe, provided you do not try to turn right. The price, much like the right-handed steering, is firm."
That guy makes bikes bikes look great in his ads. It doesn't hurt that he usually starts with nice bikes.
Yeah, it was tempting to scrape together the cash for this one...if only I didn't have ongoing projects in need of further $$ infusions. That bike is definitely an oldie but a goodie--a true BILF!
