How about an option to ride what ever you've got?

As long as it has two wheels and is powered by a meat engine, it works for us.

no way. my bike stays in one piece. After i get a real job i'll build up a few sweet ass bikes but for now my baby stays in one piece....she likes it that way and so do I. She is happier with them intact. I'd like you guys and your testicles, you wouldn't remove those would you? So you can't ask me to neuter my baby.

but now that i have the stingray(singlespeed!) maybe I can start training on that and leave everyone in the dust on a schwinn! That'd be the day.

i am the proud owner of one bicycle. she's jealous and i'm perpetually broke so we've made quite the life together. room enough for us on the ride still?

You ride a bike with a freewheel and no brakes?

If you rode with us, you'd know that about 50% of us ride fixed gears everywhere. But it doesn't really matter. Let's ride bikes... whatever ya got, whatever you feel like rollin' on that day. The route shouldn't be any different.

yea that will be good, i just love all fixed gear bike rides, maybe we could do that everyonce and a while but people can roll how they want, so i dont know abuot this saturday becuase of the cathedral ride

but sunday, we need to arrange a place of meeting...
i was wondering if just the mad park starbucks would be good?
also what time would be best? is 11a.m. ok?

last thing is where to ride, we dont have to diside this before hand but i was thinking maybe just a nice cruise dont to leschi, then stop at this cafe that i know of(i cant remember the name) then so down to seward and back

nice short ride with lunch

Meet at 11am sunday morning at starbucks in madison park

how would that sound, at least for the first ride
let me know

So do you not like gears because they destroy your manhood? Some of us are older than 18 with poorly functioning body parts, like knees. Fixed gears aren't exactly good for your joints, or good for people who live on the top of Queen Anne.

I don't see the point of ripping on someone's bike because of the setup as long as they ride it. Splitting bicyclists up for any purpose other than track racing or some other official event is stupid.

I vote road bcuz I like to ride my bike in the road. I am however building up a mountain bike! So maybe we should add Offroad, All, None and Walking to the ballot. Maybe tricycles, I hear its super fun to ride with only tricycles, plus they could be fixed gear.

It's right next to the 'z' key. Just a little below the 'a' key.

ha, speak for yourself. capitalization is for meatspace, the internet is a lower-case medium.

I believe tacomadude is just one of the usual people here using a different name to fuck w/ people... for some odd reason they find it amusing, despite the fact overall they're ignored.

You should totally take him up on his offer for the ride in his van. It could be an amazing life changing event for you. Young boys should always take rides from stangers they meet on the internet. It's a good thing.

Why are you meeting at Starfucks? Aren't there any cute little coffee stands in madison park that you can go to that are less corporate and more hip. :)

Of course I shouldn't even be posting here because I'm not going on this ride anyway. I'll be riding my bike all day at work.

I don't want to go on your ride anyway because you're an exclusionist. I don't dig exclusionism so much. It sucks.
