Is it possible to drill my frame for a rear brake? It is a horrible idea?

If the above are answered yes, can someone help me do this?

why? but yes it can be done. i'd say have it done at a shop, even a mufler/welding shop would work. cash and or beer is good trade.

I'm going to be running a freewheel for a few different events this summer (including your race tonight). i thought it would be nice to stop.

Yes you can. Not clear on the bad idea part. I'd need to see it or have to tell me how big the seatstay bridge is.

Am I assuming that this is your carbon Fetish cycles frame? If so gut reaction is BAD IDEA!!!! Some holes (like itty bitty ones in the BB for water to come out of) I will sign off on, but brakes get a good amount of force through them. Can it be done -- possibly, but I wouldn't.

It's worth the money to get it done at a bike builder's place. I bet Elliott Bay Cycles would do it. I put waterbottle cage bolts into my old steel frame and I was super careful to drill it straight and had a couple extra sets of eyes...and it was WAY off. Goof thing I could bend the cage back to straight.

I gots drillz and skillz! Lemme at it!

Seriously, make sure someone professional looks at it to see if it is even feasable. Post a close-up pick of the Seatstay Bridge.

Any experienced mechanic can do the job.

I'd do it for free just because I like you! But damn my shop is far away!
